Geometric Stainless Steel Sculptures and Spatial Structures

About

Portrait of sculptor Werner Stanggassinger

Werner Stanggaßinger is a sculptor and metalworker based in Bavaria, Germany. He works primarily with stainless steel and develops closed, continuous geometric structures and spatial knot forms.

Each work is constructed physically and manually, using welding, precise fabrication, and long-term testing. The sculptures are not optical illusions. Their geometry is real, coherent, and structurally consistent from defined viewpoints.

His practice combines mathematical structure, engineering thinking, and handcrafted production. All works are developed and built in his own workshop.

Stanggaßinger’s sculptures focus on durability, clarity, and formal restraint. They are conceived as long-term objects rather than decorative pieces.

Selected works are available through international platforms and direct contact.
